The door to the Primary Health Care Centre(PHC),Lapod named Moti Hospital opened for yet another eye camp....but the first of its Surgical Eye Camp in this village.
Patients from five villages around made their way slowly but confidently to the PHC.The Moti Hospital is a well known PHC since 1956.Sadly the government programs at this centre lacks the basic health facilities.The need of the hour are for private NGO's like RNA Trust.Openings for Corporate Social Responsibility....are there any around???
More than 500 people were screened for Cataract,refractive errors,Age Related Macular Degeneration,Glaucoma and Retinopathies.
40 people were transported by a mini bus to Lions Eye Hospital,Rani Town where Dr.Rajesh Parekh and the team from the hospital conducted surgeries with Intra-Ocular Lens Implantation in modern OT with all facilities.
Thanks to some sponsors and the Lions Eye Hospital ,Rani Team.Special mention to Mr.Mehta and Mr.Chaudhary who encouraged the camp to take off to a greater height.
